Virtual Relationship-Focused Therapy for Women in Florida & South Carolina
Break Free from People-Pleasing, Build Boundaries That Actually Hold, Come Back Home to Yourself
You have spent years being the strong one. The fixer. The one everyone calls when things fall apart, "What am I going to do, I need you, you're the only one who understands me," who always says "I'm fine," even when you are anything but. You manage everyone else's feelings and somehow forget you have your own. You say yes when every cell in your body is screaming No, quick to offer, "My needs can wait, I'll rearrange my schedule so I can be there for you." You replay conversations at 2am that everyone else forgot by breakfast, "What did I say that made them react like that?"
At Conversations with Amy, I help women throughout Florida and South Carolina build relationships that don't cost them themselves. Boundaries that don't buckle under guilt, and a way back to the person they were before they became everyone's emotional emergency contact.
Why I do this work
My approach blends attachment-focused therapy, CBT, Brainspotting, and somatic tools, because real change lives in the body as much as it does in insight. I'm warm, but I'll also tell you the truth, even when it's not the easy thing to hear.
What I love most about this work is watching a woman go from managing everyone else's needs to finally recognizing her own, often before she even realizes she's done it. That shift, from surviving relationships to actually choosing them, is the whole reason I do this.
What becomes Possible
Set Boundaries Without the Guilt Spiral
Learn to honor your own needs without writing yourself a three-page apology for it.
Build Relationships Based on Respect, Not Obligation
Connection that doesn't require you to disappear to keep the peace.
Feel Like Yourself Again
Reconnect with the voice, values, and instincts you've been talking over for years.
Handle Hard Emotions Without Getting Hijacked by Them
Respond on purpose instead of reacting on autopilot.
Imagine answering "how are you" and telling the truth, because you are fine, not just saying it.
Imagine saying no without drafting an apology in your head first. Imagine hanging up the phone without replaying the whole conversation, wondering what you did wrong.
Here's what changes. You stop mistaking exhaustion for love. You start telling the difference between a request and an obligation. You feel calm in your body, not just calm on paper.
You become someone who can rest without earning it first, who trusts her own read on a situation, and who doesn't disappear into everyone else's needs just to keep the peace.
That's not some overnight transformation. It's just what happens once the patterns stop running the show.
What It Feels Like When You're Not Carrying All of This Anymore
Therapy that Respects your Strength, While Asking You to Grow
Relationship patterns, boundaries, people-pleasing, and getting reacquainted with yourself.
Specialized Focus
No script. No generic worksheets. Every session meets you where you actually are, even on the days when you are "barely holding it together with dry shampoo and willpower."
Warm, Direct, and Tailored for you
You're the expert on your life. I'm just the one who'll occasionally hand you back something you just said, a pattern worth questioning, or proof of how far you've already come. Together, we build the plan.
Honest, Collaborative Work
I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation with someone who takes you seriously enough to be honest, not just supportive enough to agree with everything you say. My job isn't to hand you a new identity. It's to help you find your way back to the one that was always there, underneath the guilt and the overthinking.
